What robots can do? They builds advanced robots with remarkable behavior: mobility, agility, dexterity and speed. Some time they can be transport troops, spy and soldiers. This following robots can explain what the robots can really do!

1. Dig Dog

Big Dog is the alpha male of the Boston Dynamics robots. It is a rough-terrain robot that walks, runs, climbs and carries heavy loads. Big Dog is powered by an engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. Big Dog has four legs that are articulated like an animal’s, with compliant elements to absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. Big Dog is the size of a large dog or small mule; about 3 feet long, 2.5 feet tall and weighs 240 lbs.

2. RHex

RHex

RHex is a rugged man-portable robot with extraordinary rough terrain mobility. RHex climbs in rock fields, mud, sand, vegetation, railroad tracks, telephone poles and up slopes and stairways. RHex has a sealed body, making it fully operational in wet weather, muddy and swampy conditions, and it can swim on the surface or dive underwater. RHex’s remarkable terrain capabilities have been validated in government-run independent testing.

3. PETMAN

PETMAN

PETMAN is an anthropomorphic robot for testing chemical protection clothing used by the US Army. Unlike previous suit testers, which had to be supported mechanically and had a limited repertoire of motion, PETMAN will balance itself and move freely; walking, crawling and doing a variety of suit-stressing calisthenics during exposure to chemical warfare agents. PETMAN will also simulate human physiology within the protective suit by controlling temperature, humidity and sweating when necessary, all to provide realistic test conditions.

All the folding bike designers want to develop a bike which the simplest, the fast to fold and the smallest possible package. And now the Eco // 07 bike designed by Victor Aleman come up to show it’s the best folding bike.

As we know the main structure of the folding bike can be folded down when we want to take it to the outside. The Eco // 07 bike no only have the structure fold system, but also have wheel fold system, you can fold down along its wheel. So it become more smaller then other bike.

The Wheel is composed of six modules, each one has a double pivot in the joints, this allows the wheel to fold and become smaller, the spokes are contained in the inner structure of the wheel, when you unfold the system, the spokes rotate to the center of the mechanism where it attaches to the center of the wheel.

The Autovolantor was designed by Calkins the general manager of Moller International Company, and refitted base on a Ferrari worth 200,000 Pound. The Autovolantor can run on the ground just like the other cars, and it can vertical translation like the helicopter. The secret of the volant car was there were eight punchy thrusters inside the car to power it moving. The thrusters can spurt out air current in any orientation, and let the car run or fly as you like. There also aerofoils under the Autovolantor, and they will outspread before the car flying. Every Autovolantor cost 500,000 Pound, if you have enough money you can get one.

The max speed of flying for Autovolantor was 150 mile/h, and the flight altitude was 1,524 Meter. The Moller International Company consider that the Autovolantor perfectly solve the traffic problem for city in the future. But they must face to to the traffic control problem and the validity of the Autovolantor to be a car!!

but now there’s another suit look like the IronMan wore , it’s HTL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) developed by Elm Design and Cyberdyne in Japan. It can’t make you fly but it still make you more stronger. The HTL was maked up of control system, power system and dynamic system.

It designed for persons with restricted mobility at firse, but the HTL also can be used in mountaineering. If you like it , you can rent one now. It just cost 10,000 RMB/month.
