You will find that it’s not a hard thing to design the wordpress theme after using the theme framework. I still remember I finish my first theme in two days base on the framework. Although, it isn’t an awesome theme, but I still love it very much. There’re some free framework I like, they’re prefect and easy to be used, and they are free for all.

And now, it’s easy to add the delete and spam action link to the comment template, and you can clean your comments easily from the post. Firstly, you should open the functions.php file and add this code.

Spam and Delete Link

And than, find the edit_comment_link function in your comment.php or the functions.php file, add this code after the edit_comment_link function.

It’s not too difficult to you if you know a little PHP coding. There’s en easy way to show the thumbnail in your blog. And you must add some code to the functions.php file in your wordpress theme directory.

Open the functions.php file with some code editor and plaster this code between the <? phpand ?>in your functions.php file, and then save it.

This code means it can find the first photo of your posts and got it as the thumbnail, if there’s no photo in your post it will show what you set in $first_img. When you finish this coding, add this code in what you want the thumbnail show.

In the end add this css code in your style.css file.

And now it’s done, you can see the first photo of your post in the left side of your blog.

In fact, you can do the SEO job with adding some code in the wordpress theme header.php file instead of using the SEO plugin, and no setting any more!!

The first thing is optimizing the blog title and post title. Copy and paste the code replace the title code in header.php file before <?php wp_head(); ?>.

Secondly, optimize the description and keywords, copy and paste the code after </title> label.

It will show the description and keywords you set when it’s at the home page. When it’s in the single post page, it will get the post tags as the keywords, and get the post  excerpt or the first 220 chars of the post as the description.

That was the my first feeling to snow, and now I will show you how to let your blog snow. If you are using a wordpress blog, there’s an easy way to make the snow effect. You can see the demo at the header of my blog. Just copy and paste this code between <body> and </body> in you wordpress theme.

At this excited moment, I also changed my wordpress theme form TES to UBD. TES was a good theme, but I want keep walking looks some different to my Chinese blog Just A Blog.

The UBD theme was what the keep walking look like right now,  but I did a little modification about the comment system. UBD was design by Unique Blog Designs and Phillip van Coller, and it’s a  good theme for money blogging. It’s ready for ADs and sponsor, you can easily control the ADs and sponsor links with the help of ubd-block-ad plugin.
